The Harbour shows a lot of Barmouths history with its steep steps and slate-roofed cottages on the side of the Welsh mountains. You will also find the Ty Gwyn Museum situated above the Davey Jones Locker that tells the story of the near by wreck of 1709 and the Ty Crwn (The Round House) which consists of two cells one for men and one for women, the lock-up was mainly used to house petty offenders. For those that enjoy walking there are many walks that can be followed whether is be pleasure or for the more advanced hiker. Taking a walk over the spectacular Barmouth Bridge would be an ideal evening activity whilst watching the sunset over the horizon.
